Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will mark his 53rd birthday on June 5 with a visit to Ayodhya for a series of religious and environmental events, as his birthday coincides with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar in Ayodhya Ram Mandir and World Environment Day.

CM Yogi will begin his day with prayers at the Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi, followed by participation in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar and six other deities inside the temple complex, The Times of India reported.

Known for his environmental interest, CM Yogi will also lead a tree plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Ayodhya. He is scheduled to plant a Harishankari sapling at Pushp Vatika near Ramkatha Park on the banks of the Saryu River today.

According to forest officials, similar plantation events will take place across all districts of Uttar Pradesh. The environment department has also planned a major awareness programme in Lucknow featuring street plays, speeches, drawing contests, and environmental pledges. School students and youth will be encouraged to take an oath to "End Plastic Globally" and support eco-friendly practices, TOI reported.
