Yellow alert issued as Delhi-NCR witnesses heavy rain, waterlogging

According to the India Meteorological Department, Delhi and its surrounding areas will remain under a yellow alert for the day, with forecasts of thunderstorms and rain.

Delhi rains

Delhi-NCR woke up to heavy rains in the early hours of Tuesday, bringing relief from the persistently humid weather. However, the rain also left Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Gurugram struggling with waterlogged streets and traffic snarls.

According to The Daily Jagran, Minto Bridge, Vijay Chowk, Moti Bagh flyover, Rafi Marg, and Nizamuddin flyover witnessed intense showers.

The downpour, which began late on Monday night, caused traffic disruptions during Tuesday's morning rush hour across key roads and underpasses.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city and surrounding areas will remain under a yellow alert for the day, with forecasts of thunderstorms and rain.
