The launch of the Mumbai One app, aimed at integrating 11 public transport systems across the city, ran into trouble on its first day, leaving many commuters frustrated. The newly inaugurated Metro 3 stations, which connect Cuffe Parade to Science Centre, did not appear on the app, forcing passengers to buy tickets manually.

A senior official from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) later assured that the issue would be resolved. He said the 11 missing stations would be added, and the updated version of the app would be ready by Friday morning.

Over 35,000 commuters downloaded the app on Thursday, attracted by its unique feature of integrating metro, monorail, suburban rail, and bus networks. The app allows passengers to travel across multiple modes of transport using a single QR code ticket.

Commuters expressed their frustration at the app’s initial glitch. “After downloading and registering, I couldn’t find any of the newly inaugurated Metro 3 stations. Many of us had to stand in long queues to buy tickets manually,” One passenger at CSMT Metro station was quoted by TOI as saying.
