The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heavy rains and dust storm in Delhi and its surrounding regions for the next 2-3 hours.
"Light to moderate rain accompanied with severe thunderstorm/lightning/hailstorm, and strong surface wind (60-100 kmph) likely to occur," IMD stated, as reported by ANI.
A few days ago, Delhi-NCR received heavy rains, gusty winds which resulted in several hoardings, electricity poles and trees being uprooted leading to traffic and waterlogging woes.
