How Punjab Police cleared protesters from Shambhu border in late evening operation; BJP cries 'sabotage'

BJP leader and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu strongly condemned the detention of farmer leaders and alleged the AAP government in Punjab was trying to "sabotage" talks between the Centre and farmers.

Punjab Police on Wednesday night cleared protesters from Sambhu and Khanauri protest sites after detaining several farmer leaders, including Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal.

More than 250 protesters were detained from Khanauri, some from Mohali, and 110 from Sambhu, a senior police officer said.

Rapid Action Force has been deployed at the Shambhu Border as police continue their operation to remove farmer camps
