The Scorpio allegedly hit their vehicle from behind at high speed. The impact of the collision was so strong that Home Guard Deepak was flung off the bridge. The SUV’s tyre burst during the crash, which caused it to stop nearby. Kritika gave her name and address to the police at the spot. Equipment inside the interceptor vehicle, including a speed monitoring machine, laser DVR, battery monitor, camera, printer, and LED screen, was badly damaged.

Constable Deepak and Home Guard Deepak suffered serious injuries and were rushed to Sarvodaya Hospital. The home guard was later shifted to the ICU as his condition was critical. Doctors have said he is not fit to give a statement yet.
