A woman was found dead inside a public toilet at Chandigarh’s Rose Garden on Saturday, November 29. Panic broke out around 3:15 pm on when visitors heard a scream from the washroom and alerted the traffic personnel posted at the gate, Hindustan Times reported.

When police reached the spot, they asked a woman present at the spot to look inside the restroom. She found the victim — identified as 30-year-old Diksha Thakur — lying unconscious in a pool of blood, bearing a deep, sharp-edged wound on her neck.

The woman was still barely breathing when she was found, but died moments later, police were quoted by the newspaper as saying. She was rushed to the nearby government hospital just metres away, where doctors declared her brought dead.
