Tata Motors will begin accepting bookings for the Tata Sierra 2025 on December 16, ahead of customer deliveries scheduled to commence on January 15, 2026. The Sierra is the company's newest model in the mid-size SUV category, joining the Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier and Safari in its expanding SUV line-up.

The introductory price for the Sierra 2025 has been set at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). A detailed variant-wise price announcement is expected next month.

The SUV has multiple powertrain options. There is a new 1.5-litre Hyperion T-GDi petrol engine with AT torque converter. Then, there is another new 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine MT and DCA transmission choices. You can have the 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine either with MT or AT torque converter.

The Tata Sierra 2025 has seven variants in all. They are Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. The Smart+ is the base variant, while the Accomplished+ is the top-spec variant.

The ARGOS architecture allows the Sierra to deliver class-leading performance. The SUV has the best-in-class water-wading depth.

The car-to-car crash test was created at 50kmph with four occupants in each car (father, mother and two children). Six airbags are standard. An electronic parking brake is also standard. There is a Level 2+ ADAS with over 20 features. It has the largest panoramic sunroof in its class.

Considering the segment and rivals, we expect the Tata Sierra 2025 price in India to start at around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is loaded to the gills with features. We expect the top-spec variant to be close to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
