Google is rolling out Veo 3, its latest video generation artificial intelligence (AI) model, to India as part of a global rollout, nearly two months after debut.
The model will be available on Google's AI assistant Gemini for all AI Pro subscribers who will be able to generate three 8-second videos of 720p resolution on a daily basis. In India, Google's AI Pro plan is available for Rs 1,950 per month.
AI Pro subscribers will be able to tap the video chip on the Gemini app and provide a text description to generate these videos in minutes.
Google introduced Veo 3 at its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2025, in May, bringing native audio generation to its AI video model, a capability currently missing in its rivals such as OpenAI's Sora and startups like Pika, Runway, and Stability AI.
Veo 3 can generate sound effects and background noise like traffic noises in the background of a city street scene, birds singing in a park, or dialogue between characters from a text prompt. In recent weeks, the model has attracted significant attention for its realistic visuals and integrated audio support.

At launch, Veo 3 was available to Gemini Ultra subscribers in the United States through the Gemini app. In June, it was rolled out to AI Pro subscribers with the Veo 3 Fast model, enabling users to create three videos per day.
Josh Woodward, who currently leads Google Labs and the Gemini app, mentioned on X (previously Twitter) that the company also plans to soon introduce photo-to-video generations.
"We continue to take important steps to ensure video generation is a safe and responsible experience for everyone. This includes extensive red teaming and evaluation, along with developing and consistently enforcing our policies against unsafe content," the company said in a blogpost.
"In addition, all videos created from your photos display a visible watermark and are embedded with an invisible digital SynthID watermark, which indicates the videos are AI-generated," it added.
This launch comes shortly after Google introduced a new version of its image generation model Imagen, called Imagen 4, which can create images in a range of aspect ratios and up to 2k resolution. It is currently available on the Gemini app, Gemini API and Google AI Studio.
In May, Google also introduced a new AI filmmaking tool called Flow that helps storytellers create cinematic shots and stitch together scenes into full length films and short stories.
Targeted at creative professionals, Flow brings together its AI models Veo, Imagen and Gemini to create cinematic clips, scenes and stories. The app is built on the foundation of VideoFX, a Google Labs experiment that launched last year. Flow is currently available in over 70 countries but has yet to roll out in India.
