Trump admitted that repeated conversations with Putin about halting strikes on civilian areas have yielded no results. He cited incidents such as a rocket hitting a nursing home and apartment buildings in Ukraine, leaving casualties, as evidence that Moscow is continuing its offensive despite US objections. The two leaders have spoken at least five times since Trump began his second term in January, yet Russian advances have persisted.
