In an unprecedented video that has emerged from Nepal, top officials, ministers and their family members were seen fleeing the wrath of angry protesters by clinging to a rescue slope of an army helicopter. The video has been widely shared on social media.

However, Moneycontrol could not independently verify the video. The identity of the individuals is also not clear yet.

Nepal has seen dangerous protests in the past few days, which led to the resignation of prime minister KP Oli and home minister Ramesh Lekhak.

Former Nepalese prime minister Jhala Nath Khanal's wife Ravi Laxmi Chitrakar, who sustained serious burn injuries, is critical and undergoing treatment at a hospital, a media report said on Wednesday.

A mob set the house belonging to Khanal on fire in the Dallu area of Kathmandu on Tuesday.
