Employing First-Person View (FPV) drones — small, fast-moving machines operated by helmet-wearing operators — Ukraine proved that the age of warfare is now one of agility and not mass. In one clip, the drone seems to hover briefly before shooting at a bomber's vulnerable wing hinge. These accurate, inexpensive machines caused tremendous damage to Russia's long-range aviation assets, including Tu-95s and A-50 radar aircraft, once deemed critical elements of Moscow's strategic deterrent.
