US President Donald Trump addressed his earlier “Thanksgiving deadline” for the Russia-Ukraine war, clarifying that “I don’t have a deadline. The only deadline for me is when it’s over.”
He added that the conflict’s end is expected soon, saying it is “going to be sometime in the very near future.”
“And I think everybody is tired of fighting at this point. They are losing too many people,” Trump added.
On Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s potential visit to the US, Trump said, “He would like to come, but I think we should get a deal done first.”
Trump also reiterated his claim of resolving conflicts, stating, “We’ve settled 8 wars, and I thought this would be one of the easier ones because of my relationship with President Putin. But this is probably one of the more difficult ones because there’s a lot of hatred…”
"People are starting to realise it’s a good deal for both parties, and they’ve got to stop the war. They’re losing a lot of people, mostly soldiers..." he further added.
