Pakistan cries foul over Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor, India says response to terror is justified

Pakistan has once again resorted to denial and diversion tactics, rejecting statements made by Indian leaders in Parliament on Operation Sindoor -- India’s cross-border counter-terror strike in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. In a statement on Wednesday, Pakistan's foreign office termed India’s remarks during the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament “baseless” and “provocative,” claiming the military action lacked “verifiable evidence” and “credible investigation.”

However, top Indian intelligence sources, as quoted by CNN-News18, dismissed Pakistan’s objections as “meaningless,” underlining that New Delhi had sufficient cross-border evidence before launching precision strikes in May. The operation, carried out on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, targeted terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir believed to be responsible for the deadly attack in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed 26 lives.

"The world knows that India attacked Pakistan without any verifiable evidence or a credible investigation into the Pahalgam Attack," Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson claimed in a feeble attempt to spin the narrative.

Doubling down on its victimhood card, Islamabad further alleged that India’s airstrikes resulted in the “martyrdom of innocent men, women, and children.” It claimed that “India failed to achieve any of its strategic objectives,” while praising Pakistan’s supposed “resounding success” in neutralising Indian military assets -- a claim unsupported by any independent verification.
