India has launched Operation Sindoor, carrying out precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). World leaders, including US President Donald Trump, the UN Secretary-General, and others, have reacted to the operation.

Russia
The Russian Foreign Ministry has called on both India and Pakistan to show restraint and avoid further escalation in light of recent military developments in the region.
China
China has expressed concern over Indian strikes on Pakistan, urging both sides to show restraint in response to a major escalation between its nuclear-armed neighbours.
"We call on both India and Pakistan to prioritise peace and stability, remain calm and restrained and avoid taking actions that further complicate the situation," a spokesperson for Beijing's foreign ministry said.'
United Kingdom
UK Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds said, “We are a friend and partner to both countries. We stand ready to support them. Both nations share a vested interest in maintaining regional stability, encouraging dialogue, and avoiding further conflict. We’re here and willing to help in any way we can.”
Japan
Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said, "In regard to the terrorist act that occurred in Kashmir on April 22, our country firmly condemns such acts of terrorism. Furthermore, we express strong concern that this situation may lead to further retaliatory exchanges and escalate into a full-scale military conflict. For the peace and stability of South Asia, we strongly urge both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint and stabilize the situation through dialogue."
Israel
Israel’s ambassador to India Reuven Razar posted on his X account, "Israel supports India’s right for self defense. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent."
UAE
The United Arab Emirates, meanwhile, asked India and Pakistan “to exercise restraint, de-escalate tensions, and avoid further escalation that could threaten regional and international peace,” according to a statement from UAE Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“His Highness reaffirmed that diplomacy and dialogue remain the most effective means of peacefully resolving crises, and achieving the shared aspirations of nations for peace, stability, and prosperity,” the statement read.

"The Secretary-General is very concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control and international border. He calls for maximum military restraint from both countries. The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan."
