While many fear the impact of artificial intelligence on humanity, billionaire Elon Musk describes humanity as a "biological bootloader for digital superintelligence."
In his social media post on X Elon Musk recalls his statement that he made in 2019 in a conversation with Ali Baba CEO Jack Ma during the World AI Conference held Shanghai.
"As I mentioned several years ago, it increasingly appears that humanity is a biological bootloader for digital superintelligence" he mentioned in the X post.
Bootloader is small program that initializes the functioning of the operating system. Without it the OS wouldn't start. We could figure out from the Musk's statement that humanity is like bootloader that is required to develop technology, and ultimately, the AI crated by humans may surpass the human intelligence.
He could be suggesting that the biological intelligence might be temporary, and it could be taken over by AI. Once AI surpasses our intelligence it could reshape the journey of the evolution.
Not only this he has said in a X post shared by the "AI WILL SOON GENERATE SHORT MOVIES."
Also, he has emphasized upon the development of the humanoid robot Optimus developed by Tesla.
"Tesla is the only company with all the ingredients for making intelligent humanoid robots at scale. My prediction is that Optimus will be the biggest product of all time by far. It will be 10 times bigger than the next biggest product ever made."
After making significant advancements in EVs, space exploration, and other sectors, Elon Musk is now shifting his focus toward the AI revolution.
