The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, and Indonesia have issued a joint statement welcoming US President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war in Gaza.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ministers praised Trump’s “leadership and his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza, and assert their confidence in his ability to find a path to peace.” They highlighted the importance of partnership with the United States in securing regional stability.
The statement said the ministers “welcome the announcement by President Trump regarding his proposal to end the war, rebuild Gaza, prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people and advance a comprehensive peace, as well as his announcement that he will not allow the annexation of the West Bank.”
They affirmed readiness to engage “positively and constructively” with the US and all parties to finalize the agreement and ensure its implementation “in a manner that ensures peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.”
Reiterating their joint commitment, the ministers stressed working with Washington on a comprehensive deal that guarantees humanitarian aid delivery, prevents displacement, secures the release of hostages, ensures full Israeli withdrawal, rebuilds Gaza, and establishes a just peace on the basis of a two-state solution under which Gaza is fully integrated with the West Bank.
