Everything that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says during internal meetings eventually ends up in the media—and Zuckerberg is not all happy about it. Ironically, his comments about these leaks have also been leaked to the media. However, now Meta’s Chief Information Security Officer has issued a stern warning for employees. He has said that the employees who leak confidential information will face serious consequences.
"Everything I say leaks. And it sucks, right?. I want to be able to be able to talk about stuff openly, but I am also trying to like, well, we're trying to build stuff and create value in the world, not destroy value by talking about stuff that inevitably leaks," Zuckerberg said in a leaked audio obtained by 404 media. Zuckerberg also said that the leaks have made him very conscious and he is now exercising caution while giving out confidential details during meetings.
Meta will also take actions against those who leak confidential details of the meetings. Meta’s Information Security Officer, Guy Rosen said during the internal meeting that the leaks will be taken “seriously” and there would be “repercussions” for employees caught sharing confidential information
“We recently terminated relationships with employees who leaked confidential company information inappropriately” He also added saying that Meta would take “appropriate action, including termination,” against employees.
