Apple may launch HomePod mini, Apple TV this month: What to expect

If new versions are indeed coming, November 12 would be the most logical window for their release. But with Apple historically avoiding major launches this late in the year, it’s more plausible that stores will simply get new holiday décor and display materials rather than fresh hardware.

Apple retail employees have been told to prepare for an “overnight refresh” on November 11, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports in his latest Power On newsletter — a move that usually precedes some change in stores the next morning. While some may hope for surprise launches, all signs point to a routine holiday update rather than a major product reveal.

In the weeks leading up to Apple’s October event, rumours were swirling about a new wave of devices — including M5-powered iPad Pros, MacBook Pros, and even refreshed versions of Apple TV and HomePod mini. Only part of that materialised. The iPad Pro and MacBook Pro did debut, but Apple’s smaller home products were notably absent.

That’s unlikely to change before the year ends. During Apple’s latest earnings call, CEO Tim Cook called the current lineup “our most extraordinary yet,” a clear hint that no major new hardware is expected this holiday season.

Furthermore, Gurman notes that both Apple TV and HomePod mini are in short supply across several regions. Inventory drops often precede quiet refreshes, especially when new features — such as the Siri and Apple Intelligence updates planned for next year — are on the horizon.
