Real Madrid and Barcelona enjoy a massive fan following across the globe and the rivalry once again took centerstage in the past week. Real Madrid, who were hosting Barcelona in a LaLiga tie, endured a four-goal humiliation, also helping the latter take a six-point lead over their arch rivals on the points table. While Real Madrid, in particular their marquee signing Kylian Mbappe, failed to break the off-side traps, Robert Lewandowski, who has been thriving since the arrival of Hansi Flick, completed a brace. Lamine Yamal at 17 became the youngest player to score in El Clasico, and Raphinha hammered final nail in the coffin by sending a delicate chip over the goalkeeper's head to wrap the show at Santiago Bernabeu.
The craze of the rivalry is such that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the clash during his speech in Vadodara on Monday. Modi highlighted the same during his address after inaugurating the TATA Aircraft Complex with Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez in attendance.

"I've heard Yoga is very popular in Spain. Indians also love watching Spanish football. Barcelona's brilliant win over Real Madrid was a major topic of discussion among football fans in India."
"Aur main aapko guarantee ke saath keh sakta hu ki dono clubs k fans mein Bharat mein utni hi nok jhonk bhi huyi jitni Spain mein hoti hain. (And I can guarantee that fans of both the clubs in India engaged in intense banters as it must have happened in Spain.)," the Prime Minister said while touching upon India and Spain's multifaceted partnership, which include food, films, and football.
PM Modi along with his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez jointly inaugurated the TATA Aircraft Complex for manufacturing C-295 aircraft at TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) Campus in Vadodara on Monday.
A total of 56 aircraft are there under the C-295 programme, of which 16 are being delivered directly by Airbus from Spain and the remaining 40 are to be made in India. Tata Advanced Systems Ltd is responsible for making these 40 aircrafts in India. This facility will be the first private sector Final Assembly Line (FAL) for military aircraft in India.
PM Modi and President Sanchez also witnessed cultural performances and greeted people during their roadshow in Vadodara.
