Paris Olympics, India's schedule for Day 1 (July 27): After a great show by Indian archers in the ranking series, which took place on Thursday, Indian sports fans have much to look forward to on Saturday, which is officially the Day 1 of Paris Olympics. Indian men's and women's teams dished out an impressive performance and have qualified for the quarter-finals of the archery events. However, on Saturday the focus will shift from archery to other events, with the day kicking-off with 10m air rifle mixed team qualification. Apart from that we'll have emerging star Lakshya Sen in action against Kevin Cordon in men's singles badminton tie. The pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who are deemed as potential medal contenders, start their campaign against Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar.
The men's hockey team will be up for a good challenge from New Zealand, while the pair of Rohan Bopnna and N Sriram Balaji will be in action against Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Fabien Reboul in men's doubles opening round match.
