India will aim to exceed its previous Olympic medal tally as it prepares to shine at the Paris Games, starting from July 26. In recent years, India's performance at the Olympics has shown steady improvement. At Tokyo 2020, India achieved a historic milestone with seven medals, including Neeraj Chopra's celebrated gold in javelin throw. This marked India's most successful outing at the prestigious global sporting event. With a contingent of over 100 athletes participating this year, India is optimistic about securing an even greater number of medals. Although the official commencement of the Games is on July 26, India's campaign will commence a day earlier with archers competing in individual ranking rounds.
