Neeraj Chopra, Diamond League live streaming: India's most decorated athlete back in action at Lausanne

Neeraj Chopra, Diamond League live streaming: Two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra will be seen in action in the Lausanne Diamond League meet, which takes place on August 22. Neeraj has been nursing a groin injury, the effects of which were visible during the recently-concluded Paris Olympics. The 26-year-old did manage to bag a silver at the sporting extravaganza, but out of all his six attempts, only one was valid. Although fingers were pointed at the Mondo track in Paris, but Neeraj also mentioned that injury had a huge impact behind his rare lackluster performance.

Neeraj will require a surgery, something that was advised to him by the doctor previously. However, he plans to go for the treatment after the end of the season.

Neeraj has taken part in just one event of the Diamond League this season, which was in Doha. He will now aim for yet another impressive show to qualify for the season finale in Brussels on September 14. A top-six finish in the Diamond League meetings series standings will ensure him a qualification for the season finale.

There is another Diamond League meeting in Zurich on September 5. Despite his solitary appearance, he sits at the fourth place in the standings. Neeraj had finished second behind Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch in the Doha Diamond League on May 10.
