Currently, India lead the points table with two wins against New Zealand and Great Britain. Pakistan meanwhile sit fourth with just one victory so far.

Pakistan defeated Malaysia 7-2 but failed against Great Britain who defeated them 5-1. The Under-21 match takes place amid the tense relationship between the two countries following the senior players opting a no-handshake policy at the Asia Cup in cricket and in hockey, Pakistan did not even come to India to play the tournament.

"The players have been told that if the Indian players don’t shake hands before or after the match, just ignore the gesture and move on. They have also been told to avoid any emotional tussles or signs during the game,” news agency PTI quoted a PHF as saying.
