The moment quickly went viral on social media, with fans saluting the bond between the two stars of Indian cricket. Here are a few reactions...
Coming to the match, Rohit after firing three consecutive fifty-plus scores could only manage 14 off 8 balls this time around. However, despite his limited stay in the middle, the former India captain smashed Nandre Burger for a hat-trick of boundaries in the fifth over. However, he also got caught-behind in the fifth ball of the same over.
Pant, on the other hand, was not considered for the playing XI as India didn't tinker with the winning combination.
Meanwhile, during the innings break the former India captain, who is also the brand ambassador of 2026 T20 World Cup, unveiled the jersey of the Men In Blue for the showpiece event that will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
He was joined by Tilak Varma on stage as BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and Adidas representatives formally handed over the World Cup jerseys to the duo.
