Gujarat Titans pulled off a bowling masterclass as they suffocated Mumbai Indians to a 6-run win at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The GT bowlers showed great character as they kept rising from every setback to clich a stunning victory.

1st innings

• Hardik Pandya took the new ball and introduced Bumrah only in the 4th over. However, India's pace spearhead wasted no time in making an impact as he picked the first wicket of the match. His fierce yorker crashed into Wriddhiman Saha's middle stump. Bumrah would put on a masterclass as he ended the innings with figures of 3/14 from his four overs.


• Pandya was booed by Gujarat crowd every time he fielded. Pandya spent 2 seasons at GT, as captain, and led them to 2 IPL finals, winning one and losing last year's summit clash to Chennai Super Kings


• Double strike by Bumrah in the 17th over was a potential game changer in the first innings. He conceded just 2 runs but more importantly picked up 2 important wickets of Sai Sudarshan and David Miller; the duo GT were banking on for getting them a good score. The score then was 135/5 after 17 overs.
