Campbell scored a ton before getting out for 115 against Ravindra Jadeja on Day 4 of the second Test. After losing no wickets in the opening session and taking the total to 252/3 at Lunch, West Indies were eventually folded for 390, thus setting India a 121-run target. Jayden Seales and Justin Greaves, the final pair, kept the grind after a collapse in the second session and resisted the attack for 22 overs. Greaves went to slam a half-century and stitched 79 runs along with Seales for the last wicket.
India in response lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early, who appeared to be in no mood to stretch the action into Day 5. He was caught at 8(7) at long-on, following which KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan took the total to 63/1 at Stumps. The hosts now need another 58 runs to complete a whitewash.
Earlier, led by Campbell and Hope, West Indies showed massive improvement after India enforced the follow-on. The visitors were earlier dismissed for 248 in the first innings, allowing India to take a huge 270-run lead. Kuldeep Yadav was the wreaker-in-chief as the Chinaman spinner registered his fifth five-wicket haul and found great support from Ravindra Jadeja, who picked three wickets in the innings.
Meanwhile, it was usual business for India batters, who piled a massive 518/5 declared in the first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed 175, and Shubman Gill hammered 129. Sai Sudharsan also chipped in with a vital 87.
