India vs Pakistan Highlights, Asia Cup 2025: India continued their dominance at the Asia Cup 2025 and defeated Pakistan by seven wickets at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. India dictated proceedings from the word go and restricted Pakistan to 127/9 after they opted to bat first. In response, India completed the run chase with 4.1 overs to spare as Suryakumar Yadav wrapped the show with a maximum over mid-wicket. The Indian skipper returned unbeaten on 47 off 37 balls.
India began the chase on a strong note and accumulated 61/2 in the powerplay. Shubman Gill, however, departed cheaply as he was stumped for 10(7) off Saim Ayub's bowling, who also removed Abhishek Sharma after a blazing 13-ball 31.
Earlier, Shaheen Shah Afridi saved Pakistan from humiliation as his late blitz, featuring an unbeaten 16-ball 33 drove Pakistan to a respectable total. Kuldeep Yadav once again emerged as the best bowler from the Indian camp, registering three scalps from his full quota of overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel returned with two scalps each, while Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakaravarthy picked a wicket each.
The proceedings kicked-off with Pandya and Bumrah injecting a blow each in the first two overs. Pandya removed Saim Ayub, who returned without troubling the scorers and Bumrah packed Mohammad Harris for 3(5). Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan then led the Pakistan recovery and guided the team to 42/2 at the end of powerplay. The spinners then joined the act as Axar Patel dismissed Fakhar for 17(15) to break the partnership. He then removed Pakistan skipper Salman Agha for 3(12) in his next over, which reduced Pakistan to 49/4 at the halfway mark.
Then came Kuldeep Yadav, who struck in consecutive balls and pushed Pakistan further behind. Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan, who scored 40(44), was the highest scorer from the Pakistan camp.
