These vehicles are adorned with vermilion, turmeric, garlands, mango leaves, and banana saplings. As part of this ritual, a white pumpkin is also decorated and smashed in front of the vehicle to ward off evil influences, ensuring the vehicle's safety and smooth functioning throughout the year.

Vahana Puja involves a detailed process of cleaning and decorating vehicles. People apply vermilion and turmeric on the vehicles as a mark of respect, and the smashing of a white pumpkin is considered a significant step in the ceremony, symbolizing the elimination of evil and protection from harm.
