Iranian state media, on Tuesday, reported that approximately 200 missiles were fired at Israel, including the debut use of hypersonic missiles in the conflict. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that 90 percent of their missiles struck their intended targets, including three military bases around Tel Aviv.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the missile strikes, describing them as a "big mistake" and warning of significant repercussions.
According to an Axios report, Israeli officials have hinted at plans for a “significant retaliation” against Iran following Tuesday’s large-scale ballistic missile attack. Likely targets for the counterstrike are expected to include the Iranian oil industry, air defense systems, and other strategic military sites throughout Iran. Additionally, there may be targeted assassination strikes against key Iranian figures. Officials have warned that if Iran chooses to respond to Israel's retaliation, all options will be considered, which could encompass strikes aimed at Iranian nuclear facilities, stated the report.
