The UK government has updated its travel advisory for Bangladesh to caution against travel to the country where "terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks".

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) reviewed the “Safety and Security” section of its advisory for Bangladesh on Tuesday evening.

The update adds to its overall standing advice against “all but essential travel” to the South Asian nation.

“Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Bangladesh,” reads the updated FCDO travel advisory.
