A group of unidentified miscreants attacked the Bangladesh Air Force base on Cox's Bazar on Monday, according to Bangladesh's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
One person has died in the incident, according to local reports.
A purported video of the incident is circulating on X in which Air Force personnel can be seen clashing with locals.
According to a local report, Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin confirmed that a clash broke out between locals and BAF personnel in the afternoon.
The ISPR, in a statement, said that some criminals from the nearby Samity Para area launched an attack on the Air Force base. "The Bangladesh Air Force is taking the necessary measures in this regard," it said.
