Sikkim Landslides: 1,600+ Tourists Rescued After Days of Ordeal

Over 1,600 tourists stranded in North Sikkim’s Lachung and Chungthang due to rain-triggered landslides have been safely evacuated. With roads damaged and bridges affected, rescue teams led by the BRO, police, and local administration worked round the clock. Tourists praised the support from locals, police, and army personnel.
