Sudha Murty says motherhood has been 'rewarding': 'Akshata, Rohan are my greatest blessings'

On the sidelines of Mother's Day, Sudha Murty has said that motherhood has been "very rewarding" for her and that her children Akshata and Rohan Murty are her greatest blessings.

Taking to X, the former chairman of the Infosys Foundation shared a picture of the family, including Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy. "Motherhood has been very rewarding for me. My kids, Akshata and Rohan, are my greatest blessings. Instilling the right values in them is what I have always focused on," she wrote.

Sudha Murty and Narayana Murthy's daughter Akshata Murty is a fashion designer and venture capitalist married to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Their son Rohan Murty is the founder of the digital transformation company Soroco. He earned his PhD from Harvard University.

Earlier, Narayana Murthy had credited his wife for taking care of their children while he had to be away for long periods to build Infosys. The couple who have been married for more than 45 years said they always had one common goal -- to raise their children with values and competence.

"I couldn't spend any time with them," Narayana Murthy told Moneycontrol in an interview while talking about Akshata and Rohan Murty. "Sudha took care of them entirely. All of their credentials, accomplishments, PhDs, and Stanford education are all thanks to her," he said.
