Yashasvi Jaiswal becomes the first Indian to make two double hundreds against England in Tests

Jaiswal became only the third Indian, after Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli, to achieve double hundreds in two consecutive Tests, and the seventh Indian overall to score more than 200 in the second innings.

The 22-year-old scored an unbroken 214 runs in the third Test of the five-game series.

On the fourth day of the third Test match in Rajkot on February 18, star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal made history by becoming the first Indian to score two double-hundreds against England.

Jaiswal's maiden double century against England came in the second Test at Visakhapatnam, where he scored 209 runs in India's opening inning. The 22-year-old scored an unbroken 214 runs in the third Test of the five-game series.

Team England was in greater chaos after tea, falling to 18 for two in their second innings while chasing an implausible 557-run goal on the fourth day of the third Test here on Sunday. They now need 539 more runs in four sessions to win in an implausible scenario. Jaiswal's 236-ball magnum opus, in which he hit the most sixes in a Test innings (12), enabled India to declare their second innings at 430 for four, but it was only the start of England's problems.
