India's star batsman Virat Kohli has spoken about his team's unfulfilled dream of clinching a T20 World Cup trophy, saying they aim to get better from now.
Kohli, on November 11, tweeted a photo of the team singing the national anthem at the Oval Ground in Adelaide.
"(I) always feel proud to wear this jersey and represent our country," Kohli wrote.
Reflection on the team's semi-final heartbreak, he said. "We leave Australian shores short of achieving our dream and with disappointment in our hearts but we can take back a lot of memorable moments as a group."
The batsman thanked fans for turning up in big numbers to support team India.
India's T20 World Cup journey came to end on November 10 with England's Alex Hales and Jos Buttler's unbroken partnership of 170 while chasing India's 168-6.
Coach Rahul Dravid acknowledged the team was not "good enough" on the semi-final day and was outclassed by England.
But India had its moments of glory in the tournament, the standout instance being Kohli's match-winning 82 in the nail-biter against Pakistan last month.
While India's world cup ambitions ended, arch rival Pakistan defied odds to reach the T20 World Cup finals by defeating Bangladesh.
Pakistan will face England in the World Cup final on November 13.
