Brandi Mallory, the star from “Extreme Weight Loss”, has died at age 40 due to undisclosed reasons. Mallory, a talented makeup artist, died on November 9 in Georgia, US. A memorial service is scheduled for November 19, with a funeral to follow on November 20, offering friends, family, and fans an opportunity to pay their respects.
She rose to fame during the fourth season of the ABC weight loss reality show in 2014. She lost nearly 69 kg in the show.
In an interview with Rare.us in 2018, Mallory revealed the turn of events that led her to the show. "Every footstep since then has been God," she remarked, reflecting on her journey from a failed audition for 'Biggest Loser' to becoming a participant in 'Extreme Weight Loss.'
Mallory also emerged as a fitness inspiration in recent years by leading group dance workout classes. In 2018, she went viral for showcasing her post-weight loss physique, inspiring many on their own fitness journeys.
As news of Mallory's passing reverberated through social media, fellow "Extreme Weight Loss" alum Kim Williams Maxile paid a touching tribute on Instagram.
In a video shared on November 9, Maxile expressed her grief, saying, "Rest in Love sis. To my fellow Extreme Weight Loss sis, Brandi Mallory, you will be missed. I'll never forget, while I was at boot camp for season 5, we watched your season, and it inspired us to keep going."
The circumstances surrounding Mallory's death remain undisclosed, as the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, when contacted by US media houses, provided no details.
Mallory’s final Instagram post was on November 3.
