Titled Amaran, the film pays homage to the indomitable spirit of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who made the ultimate sacrifice while combating terrorists in 2014.

Amid anticipation and excitement, the makers of SK21 chose the eve of Sivakarthikeyan's birthday to release a teaser that promises an adrenaline-fueled patriotic saga. The teaser showcases Sivakarthikeyan in a captivating new avatar, embodying the valour and resilience of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The teaser has already garnered significant attention, setting the stage for a gripping cinematic experience.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, a veteran of the Tamil film industry, took to social media to unveil the poster of Amaran and extend warm birthday wishes to Sivakarthikeyan, who will be seen as an Indian Army officer stationed in Kashmir in the film. Expressing his delight at being part of the project, Kamal Haasan emphasised the significance of portraying the heroic tale of Major Mukund Varadarajan on the silver screen.
