'Hound Dog' songwriter Jerry Leiber dies at 78

Songwriter Jerry Leiber, famous for his collaborations with Mike Stoller including the Elvis Presley hit "Hound Dog," died on Monday at age 78, his representatives said.

Songwriter Jerry Leiber, famous for his collaborations with Mike Stoller including the Elvis Presley hit "Hound Dog," died on Monday at age 78, his representatives said.


Leiber died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, said Randy Poe, the president of his publishing company.
