A Delhi-based HR executive recently shared her disappointment after a candidate in her company quit on her first day at work. The employee apparently did not communicate the reason for the quick exit, except for sending a short text message saying they didn't like the work.

In her now-viral LinkedIn post, Chaurasiya wrote: "Recently, a candidate joined, and by the end of Day 1, messaged: 'Mujhe yeh kaam pasand nahi aaya (I didn't like the job).' No call, no proper explanation. Just—done." She confirmed the sales role's nature and potential toughness were "absolutely" discussed before the offer, leaving her to ponder, "So what changed overnight?"

Chaurasiya’s core message to all candidates is that perfection isn't found in a day. "No job becomes perfect in a day. No company can prove everything in 24 hours. And no role will ever feel 'comfortable' until you give it your time, energy, and mindset," she added.
