Bengaluru turns into 'port' after rains. Netizens joke about Pakistan Navy, 'Hyundai submarine'

Bengaluru received heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds on Tuesday afternoon and evening, leading to widespread waterlogging, tree falls, and traffic congestion across the city. As citizens and motorists struggled through flooded roads, jokes and memes on the city turning into a port flooded social media. Netizens also commented on spotting "Hyundai submarines" and "warships" cruising along the waters.

When a few users complained about having to cross ponds and potholes to reach their destination after the heavy downpour, others joked that Pakistani drones were responsible for it. When an X user shared a video of a flooded street and wrote, "Finally, Bangalore Port came back to life after it was destroyed by Pak Navy last week," another commented: "Yes and that's our new Hyundai aura submarine passing by."

Responding to the post, X user Boykaboy (@Guts_realism) wrote, "The waters of Chenab have been redirected to Bengaluru". "The port is rebuilt everytime there is rain in Bengaluru," added Social Speaker (@beSocialSpeaker).

Advocate Unnati Bhat (@Unnati_Bhat06) claimed she had to cross three "ponds" to travel three km. "After a brief pause because of the rain, I resumed the remaining short journey of 3 km for an appointment. I crossed 3 ponds on this small journey! Brand Bengaluru is where ponds and potholes co-exist on roads?!" she wrote on X.

Private weather blogger Namma Karnataka Weather (@namma_vjy) reported that on Tuesday East Banaswadi saw the highest rainfall at 37.5 mm, followed by HAL Airport (35 mm), Cottonpete (25.5 mm), and Marathahalli (24.5 mm).
