Apple Developer Conference: WWDC 2020 will mark a historic landmark for Apple. It is safe to say that the company’s first virtual-only event was a tremendous success. The new developments in Apple software were announced through a pre-recorded video filmed at Apple’s campus. There were some big announcements on the software front for iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, AirPods, and Apple TV.
Apple Silicon will drive the next generation of Macs as Apple officially announced the shift from Intel to ARM-based Apple Silicon chips. Apple also introduced the latest iOS 14, the new update coming to iPhones this year. At WWDC 2020 we also got a preview of the next version of iPadOS. The AirPods Pro are getting spatial audio for a more immersive experience. The Apple Watch will now be able to track dancing, sleep, and washing hands with watchOS 7. Apple TV is getting multi-user support for Apple Arcade, while tvOS 14 will be able to display PiP formation on Apple TV. Apple also debuted its next major desktop software update, called macOS Big Sur (macOS 10.16).

WWDC 2020 has concluded as Apple’s first virtual-only event. And marks a historic transition for the Mac.
Tim says the first Apple Silicon-based Macs will arrive by the end of this year. However, the transition will take two years and new Macs with Intel processors are still in the pipeline.
Mac users can now run iPad and iPhone apps thanks to Rosseta 2, Universal 2 and Virtualization.
macOS Big Sur will also include a new version of Rosetta. Apple first used Rosetta for the shift from PowerPC to Intel. Rosetta 2 will ensure apps work even if they are not fully updated.
Final Cut Pro is smooth. playback while editing is smooth, and you can add filters in real-time without breaking a sweat.
Microsoft Office and Adobe apps are now working on Apple Silicon.
The ARM-powered chips will users to natively run iOS and iPadOS apps onmacOS in the future. Apple is designing its own range of SoCs for Macs. Apple’s pro apps will also be updated to support the company’ new silicon in macOS Big Sur. Craig says, “the vast majority of developers can get their apps up and running in a matter of days.”
Better graphics, better battery life, new machine learning and neural engine support are coming to the Mac with Apple Silicon.

Apple Watch is getting a major update with watchOS 7 with sleep and dance tracking. The Apple Watch sleep mode won't require brand new hardware. Apple is also introducing automatic detection of handwashing to the Apple Watch.
