Modi factor strong, AAP won't see Delhi-type win: Sardesai

The phenomenal rise of Arvind-Kejriwal-led Aam Admi Party in a short span of time may not have changed political dynamics and the new-found mandate may see an encore in select state only, says Rajdeep Sardesai, editor in-chief, CNN-IBN.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Sardesai said Narendra Modi is still the man the nation wants to see as Prime Minister,  and the Kejriwal-Led party is unlikely to replicate the success of Delhi polls in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Sardesai  sees Aam Aadmi Party  playing a role in denting Congress’s prospects in Maharashtra. Sardesai’s views are similar to that of Indian Express editor in-chief Shekhar Gupta.

In an interview, Gupta said Indian market wants to see Narendra Modi leading the country, and Congress will suffer a setback on account of AAP’s presence.
