Left parties,mass organisations to launch movement from Oct end

The movement aims to protest against the "anti-people policies of the state and the central governments," as stated by senior CPI(M) leader Shyamal Chakraborty said.

Left parties and its mass organisations have decided to launch a movement in West Bengal from October end to protest the "anti-people" policies of the state and the Centre, a senior CPI(M) leader said. "The movement, to be launched under the banner of BPMO (Bengal Platform for Mass Organizations), will be against the anti-people policies of the state and the central governments", senior CPI(M) leader Shyamal Chakraborty said.

Besides small rallies, 11 big processions will be taken out as part of the movement, Chakraborty, also the convenor of BPMO said. " The people are suffering due to the anti-people policies of the Trinamool Congress. Along with the BPMO, we will call upon the people of Bengal to put up a united fight against any act of violence unleashed by TMC," he said. "The farmers of the country are dying due to debts. In the state too, the farmers are in distress. But the state government is ignorant towards their plight. So we will launch a mass movement across the state", Chakraborty said. The BPMO comprises trade unions, peasant organisations and teachers' organisations among others.
