83% Indians would delegate as much work as possible to AI: Microsoft report
More than three fourth of people in India surveyed are willing to delegate as much work as possible to artificial intelligence, a Microsoft report said on Thursday.
According to Microsoft Work Trend Index 2023 report, 90 percent of Indian leaders say employees they hire will need new skills to be prepared for the growth of AI (artificial intelligence).
The research based on a survey of 31,000 people across 31 countries, including about 1,000 from India found that 74 per cent of Indian workers say they're worried AI will replace their jobs.

Weather Update: Heatwave scorches Bihar, Patna at 40.9 degrees Celsius
There was no respite from heatwave conditions in Bihar on Thursday as the mercury breached 40 degrees Celsius in at least 13 places, officials said.
Khagaria district recorded a maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees Celsius, while Bhagalpur was at 42 degrees Celsius, East Champaran at 41.5 degrees Celsius, Sheikhpura at 41.2 degrees Celsius, and Siwan at 41.4 degrees Celsius, they said.

DRI, India Coast Guards seize over 32 kg gold worth Rs 20.21 crore in Tamil Nadu
In a joint operation, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), with the help of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Mandapam and Ramnad Customs, Preventive Division, intercepted two fishing boats and seized 32.869 kg of foreign origin gold valued at Rs 20.21 crore that was smuggled into India from Sri Lanka through the coast.
One of the suspected fishing boats was intercepted by a team of DRI officers and Coast Guard officers on the morning of May 30, 2023, after a chase in the sea. The contraband parcel containing 11.6 kg of foreign-origin gold valued at Rs. 7.13 crore was retrieved from the seabed.
On the night of May 30, 2023, a second suspected fishing boat was identified. Eight packets containing 21.269 kg of foreign-origin gold valued at Rs 13.08 crore were seized along with the boat and a two-wheeler used for smuggling the gold.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the Prime Minister of Nepal called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
After the meeting, the President noted that India-Nepal bilateral cooperation has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Trade between the two countries was maintained even during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MEA informed.
