The BJP transformed poll-bound Rajasthan from a 'bimaru' to a developed state and would now make it prosperous, party president Amit Shah said here on Wednesday while predicting that his party would form a government with full majority.

BIMARU is an acronym to refer to the states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh collectively, formed by using the first letters of the names of these states. The term, resembling the Hindi word 'bimar' -  that means sick or unwell, was used to describe the states' collective poor economic health.

Taking on the Congress at a press conference here, he said the party was involved in negative politics, promoting casteism and appeasement.

The BJP, in contrast, practised the politics of development and got a good response, Shah told reporters on the last day of campaigning for the December 7 polls.
