There is no end to Congress Party's plight, and the party itself had created most of the demons it is fighting now, says Indian Express editor-in-chief Shekhar Gupta. The recent state Assembly polls only reiterated what the urban India has been trying to project, i.e, it could be game-up for India's oldest political party in 2014 elections.

Gupta openly admitted that thinking-corporate personalities joining AAP will rationalise economics of Kejriwal-led party. The corporate faces who joined AAP include V Balakrishnan, the Infosys CEO in consideration, banker Meera Sanyal and former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's grandson Adarsh Shastri (who resigned as head of sales for Apple in western India)

Not only has AAP managed to draw the common Congressman into its fold, the coming elections may find Narendra Modi's party being challenged by AAP. Although, Gupta said, the Aam Aadmi party hasn't been able to meaningfully destroy India's faith in BJP, and the Indian market clearly is banking on a BJP win.
