Mamata Banerjee resigned today as the Union Minister of Railways but is likely to hand over the reins of the ministry a fellow Trinamool Congress member.

Sources tell Network18 Mamata Banerjee has chosen TMC General Secretary Mukul Roy as her successor in the Rail Bhavan. Currently, the Minister of State For Shipping, Roy will have additional charge as Minister of State for Railways.
