'Will dig them out from their graves': Maha CM Fadnavis promises strict action against those who attacked Nagpur cops

An on-duty female police officer was allegedly molested by a man during Maharashtra’s Nagpur violence, a First Information Report registered in this regard stated on Wednesday.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday promised to take strict action against the miscreants who attacked the police personnel during the violent clashes in Nagpur this week.

During the assembly session, Fadnavis termed the attack on police a planned “conspiracy" and said, “We will dig them out from their graves, but won’t spare those who attacked police in Nagpur." Fadnavis also highlighted the role of rumors in escalating violence saying that the violence erupted due to a rumor about a religious symbol on the symbolic grave sheet.

An on-duty female police officer was allegedly molested by a man during Maharashtra’s Nagpur violence, a First Information Report registered in this regard stated on Wednesday.

The Nagpur violence accused, the FIR said, also made obscene gestures and misbehaved with some other women, including police personnel, during the incident, which reportedly began around 4pm on March 17 and continued until approximately 11.30pm, The Indian Express reported.
