High-end drama unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj, a man climbed an electricity tower while reportedly demanding that he be married to his sister-in-law.
The man, named Raj Saxena, had gotten married to a 21-year-old woman in 2021. However, she passed away following being diagnosed with a disease. After that, Saxena married her sister, NDTV reported.
However, more events unfolded when after two years, Raj Saxena fell in love with his deceased wife and living wife's second sister and demanded that he now be married to her.
NDTV reported that on Thursday, Raj told his wife that he had a wish to be married to her sister now. However, his wife refused his demand. Following this, Saxena went on to create a scene much like that from the film 'Sholay'.
He climbed an electricity pole and started shouting his demand of wanting to marry his sister-in-law. NDTV reported that it took police officers and Saxena's family members about seven hours to convince him to come down from the pole.
The report further said that the police and the family members assured Raj that they would get him married to his sister-in-law. Raj later told the media that his sister-in-law also loves him.
